Core Beliefs

Delta Church exists to glorify God by loving God, loving others, and making disciples.

What we believe about:

God

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." - Genesis 1:1

God is eternal, all-powerful, and the Provider of all good things.

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." - Genesis 1:27

We are not the center of the universe! God is glorified through the love we reciprocate in response to His love for us.

Sin

"Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned…" - Romans 5:12

All people have sinned and need salvation through Jesus to have the relationship with God He always intended.

Jesus

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." - John 1:1,14

The life, death and resurrection of Jesus are the center and pinnacle of all history. Jesus is the divine Son of God Who provides the only way for mankind to be redeemed to the Father.

Salvation

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:8-10

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." - Romans 8:1-2

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus. God initiates our salvation and we have the amazing opportunity to respond by receiving this unfathomable gift of salvation, forgiveness for our sin, redemption, and eternal life!

Scripture

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." - 2 Tim 3:16

The Bible contains the great Truths of God that provide many great gifts for humanity: a resource for Godly life, God’s love letter to mankind, a picture of God’s beautiful character, an account of God’s history with creation, and many others. It is the authority for Delta Church and the rest of the body of Christ.

The Second Coming

"Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." - Matthew 24:30
